The AWE exhausts have earned praise from owners and the press alike, due to their unique "Jekyll and Hyde" personality, and our A5 3.2l exhaust is no exception.

We increased the diameter of the piping to 2.5" in order to let the engine exhale better and strategically eliminated mufflers so you can hear it sing. And boy does this system sing.

Quite frankly, this particular exhaust makes us giggle. We were surprised to hear what the A5 V6 engine sounds like once it is uncorked a bit. Test driving this system during development had us seeking out underpasses just to fully experience the exotic, muscular tones now flowing from the tailpipes.

Here are some features of our exhaust. Each feature was chosen for performance and longevity reasons, and when making your exhaust decisions you should settle for nothing less:

While the overall exhaust volume may not be for everyone, it does indeed have a dual nature. Judicious light applications of the accelerator pedal will keep it relatively civilized and mannered, especially while cruising on the hi-way. But once you dip into the throttle: watch out! This is a true enthusiast's exhaust. If you are only seeking cosmetic enhancements from an exhaust system, this one is not for you.

The system is available in three versions:

• Dual 90mm (3.5 inch) tips designed to work with the stock rear bumper valence
• Quad 80mm (3.15 inch) straight cut tips designed to work with the S5 rear valence
• Quad 90mm (3.5 inch) angle cut tips designed to work with the S5 rear valence

Further, each tip variation is availabe in standard polished silver or our famous Diamond Black plating. The tips sport engraved AWE Tuning logos and are double walled to ensure a mirror polish even under hard usage.
